A day by the lake

Morning

Coffee or mate on the veranda, the water below, the birds going about their business. Nobody hurries anybody.

Afternoon

The pool, a nap, a slow walk along the shore or a boat ride. As the light drops, the lake turns gold: here the sun sets across the water, not behind you.

Evening

A fire in your own barbecue, the long table set inside or out, and a silence so complete you can hear it.
